絵の好きな人にとって香月と云えば【シベリアシリーズ】と云う事になるでしょう…

香月自身が「満州出征、シベリア抑留という（過酷な）体験がなければ自分の人生は単調なものになっていただろう」という意味の事を云われています。

香月は類い稀なハイセンスな画家、そのセンスだけでも人を充分感服させられる絵が描ける人。更にわずかな線だけで画面全体に、意図する空気感を表出できてしまうテクニックをも持ち合わせた人。

さて本画ですが、55年にまだシベリア抑留の傷がいえぬままの香月がキッチンの画家と言われていた名残がのこるものです。
わずかに四角く描かれた≪ひなげしの花≫、極寒のシベリアで次々と戦友の死を看取って行った画家がどんな気持ちで描いたのか…知る由もありませんが、我々はただこの絵を純粋に（微かな痛みを感じながら…）楽しんでもいいのではないか、と思います。 二重額装となっており、内側の額の金彩が当時の光を放っています。

ちなみに香月の油は未だに数百万を下らぬ評価額となっており、一向に下がる気配はありません。

For people who like paintings, when you think of Katsuki, you probably think of the [Siberia series]...

Katsuki himself said this to the effect that, ``If I hadn't had the (harsh) experience of going to Manchuria and being interned in Siberia, my life would have been monotonous.''

Katsuki is an exceptional painter with a high sense of style, and his sense alone is enough to draw people with admiration. He also has a technique that allows him to express the desired atmosphere across the screen with just a few lines.

Now, regarding the main painting, it is a reminder that in 1955, Katsuki, still recovering from the scars of his internment in Siberia, was known as a kitchen artist.
We have no way of knowing how the artist who went to see his comrades die one after another in the frigid Siberia was feeling when he painted the slightly rectangular ``Dawn Poppy Flower'', but we simply wanted to draw this picture purely ( I think it's okay to enjoy it (while feeling a slight pain...). It is double framed, and the gold on the inner frame gives off the light of the time.

By the way, Katsuki's oil is still valued at no less than several million millions, and there are no signs of it going down at all.

I hung it up in my shop and enjoyed it, and it is a masterpiece with a rich taste that I never get tired of looking at.
